March 29,2010

I have not written anything here for several weeks. God has been moving mightily for me, on my job especially. The job I was brought back for last August on a temporary basis is now permanent. The amazing thing about what has happened is how many others have commented to me on how the timing has been perfect. God is truly amazing. I have several things to be worked out in my life at this time, but I belive God has a perfect plan being played out that will have me and my family in the perfect place, at the perfect time.

Jesus has promised to bring restoration to all in my life. I now believe this means much more than I thought many years ago. I believe I am being restored to the place God has destined me to be in and not just to what I has lost or failed to achieve. The time we are celebrating in Church is the Passion Week when Jesus enterend Jerusalem and into His destiny to freely sacrifice His life on the Cross for all who believe to receive salvation. Jesus was faithful to what the Father planned at the beginning of creation. Jesus brought salvation to all. I am so grateful for what Jesus has done for me. Today is an oppurtunity to draw nearer to God. God has made a way through Jesus. Jesus is the only way. There is no other. Through the Blood of Jesus shed on the Cross, the Resurrection from the dead that we will celebrate next Sunday and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we can enter into the throne room of Our God. We have been given a precious Gift of Life. It is a choice we make with every decision to live for God or to live for the ruler of this world. I stand with Joshua when he said, "For me and my Household, we will serve the Lord". I choose to live for Jesus. I know that in Jesue I will never be disappointed. I pray that if anyone reads this blog that the Holy Spirit will encourage you to go on your knees and ask Jesus to enter in to your heart. In Jesus the answer for every question is revealed. In Jesus is life everlasting and an eternity to be with Our Creator. I am so pleased to be in a relationship with such a Great God who gave His only begotten Son so I may have eternal life. It is my prayer that my life is a witness to the Goodness and Mercy of God as it is lived in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Miracles, Signs and Wonders will follow as the Gospel is preached. May we always believe and be open to the Grace of God.

This has been a strange week for me. Last Friday I was ending my second day unemployed. The weekend was not too bad, but I seperated myself from church and God. I allowed myself to become absorbed in self. There were moments when I was able to acknowleged Jesus in my life, but the week started with me be lazy in my heart.

I have been able to experience the Love, Mercy and Faithfulness of my Savior. Through everything God has been gently calling me close to a relationship with Jesus as I learn how to accept the full love of God as my Father. On Monday I received a call from St. Peters asking if I would be willing to work for a couple of weeks in the AV Department. I agreed to do so and was able to work this week for 3 days. I am also scheduled for the next 2 weeks full time. God is showing He is able to make a way.

I continue to be greeted at work with encouraging words from all I meet. This has been a time for my Heavenly Father to tell me I am loved. At Victory Church last night I was able to experience God's presence in a very strong way. Jesus has been able to restore much of what was lost. I am closer to where I am called to be by the Grace received through the Cross and the Blood shed for the forgiveness of my sins and the complete restoration into what Our Heavenly Father has for me. The Gift of the Holy Spirit is drawing out of me the Peace that passes all understanding. I know that the future is bright for all of us who are in the Family of God. In Jesus we find the answer to everything. Jesus words are what sustains us. In the beginnng was the Word and the Word was God. Jesus is that Word and we can experience Him by reading the Bible often. I shall make the effort to read the Word more often. I will do so by the Grace He provides.

Today is my first day of unemployment. I have worked at St. Peters in Albany, NY for most of the last 9 years and have worked in a position I have enjoyed for the last six months as a temp. My belief in Jesus providing for me was there at the beginning in 2001, was there in 2009 when I was unemployed fore 12 weeks and when I was brought back as a temp in August 2009. My faith walk has been almost like a roller coaster and today I am struggling to let go of the disappointment and hurt.

The last week has been a struggle, beginning with the news that my working days were coming to and end on February 10th. My faith was strengthened through positive encouragement from those I have worked with since August last and through support from many at Victory Church in Albany, New York. Everyone from Pastor Charlie Muller and the family at the church have given me verbal encouragement and prayer support.

Early this week I was informed about a challenge involving my daughter. The news has been difficult especially since there are issues concerning me that I will be addressing. My life is in a difficult place today and I do not know if the ability is here for me to move forward in the manner I mentioned in my first post last week. I desire for God to be there for me. Victory Church is having prayer each night now and I will be there this evening. I am in need of a miracle. It does not have to be big. I also know that others in the world, like in Haiti have greater needs than me.

I pray that God is able to reach out to all who are is situations like mine and show his love. God has promised to provide for all of my needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. I need the faith in that promise to be increased in me today. I had hoped to make this blog a daily event for me to update and with the Grace of God, I will make that attempt.

Intro

My mind is filled with many thoughts as I begin. I have lived more than 50 years now and still growing into who I am. My life is filled with many disappointments and failures. Some have been poor choices of mine and others have been out of my control. The most important thing about who I am is this. I am a child of God. Back in May of 1979 I was at a retreat in Altamont, NY and experienced Jesus personally for the first time in my life. I would like to say the lst 31 years have been a cake walk, but the truth is my life has been challenges. I have made many mistakes and continue to live out the results of seeds that were sown.

Prayer from many people have helped keep me from completely falling to the point of never getting up. I can honestly say that my life is precious in the sight of God. I am delivered and set free from the past failures, backsliding, fear, confusion and all things that seperated me from the love of my God. I have been forgiven by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus and the Blood shed on the Cross as the payment for my sins. By His stripes I am Healed and Forgiven. I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit and pray in the Spirit. I believe that in this day we shall see miracles of all kinds. God has sent Good News to set the captives free. I am an example of a man set free by the Power of God's love. I am also a witness to the Power and Love of God. In Jesus we have salvation and the freedom to live as we were created to be. There is nothing impossible to God.

I will be daily adding to this Blog with my journey through life. This night finds me in a very unique place. I am facing the possibility of being unemployed by the end of next week. This could be a time of real trials and doubt. Instead this news has caused me to look up to my God and inward to see to beauty of what my God has placed inside of me. I am pleased to be able to speak of the Great God who chose to give up his only begotten Son in order that a man like me could become His son. I Love Jesus and have decided to follow him. I make the choice to believe the word spoken that says. He shall supply all my needs according this His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. I have nothing to fear and nothing to doubt. My life is destined to be an example of the truth that God can do anything.

To anyone who happens to read this I encourage you to allow Jesus to come into your heart. Acknowledge where you have failed and allow his sacrifice to be your salvation. Jesus did not come to condemn. He came to Forgive and Heal. Jesus wants a relationship that will bring you into His Fathers home, to dwell with Him forever. There is no problem or situation that can keep you from God if you want this relationship. Remember, Jesus is standing at the door to your heart and knocking. all you have to do is open your heart and let him in. Jesus will come in and show you his love. I pray that Jesus becomes real tonight and all nights.
